Martin B. Sanchez has always been a person who is unwilling to wait to help out others. No matter what the cause, he has always been there for his community, from being a youth soccer coach for a day. Now, being a substitute teacher at Katy, he isn't one to shy away from any challenge.
Martin is a Native-born Texan raised in Corpus Christi. He attended public schools and earned a bachelor’s degree in international business with a minor in International Studies from the University of Saint Thomas in Houston, Texas. He currently holds two certificates, including Conflict Resolution in Mediations and in Arbitration.
Martin has always been active in the local community, serving on the mayor’s task force and also being part NJROTC unit at Richard King High School in Corpus Christi. Here, he worked on projects beautifying homes, helping with children’s literacy programs, and reducing misdemeanors in high-crime areas. After graduating high school, he attended Del Mar College, where he founded several organizations, including the Student Relations Group, to promote news, weather, and Emergency preparedness for the community. He was also a founding member and President of a LULAC chapter at Del Mar College. At the University of St. Thomas, Martin was heavily involved in the Model United Nations, where he developed an understanding of global issues. Martin was involved with the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) and the Fort Bend Democratic Party as a precinct chair. Martin was a Sr. Client Solution Specialist with extensive experience in the banking and financial services industry, adept at enhancing client satisfaction and reducing fraud.
Currently, Martin is involved in the Texas Association of Mediators (TAM), Prospanica, and in Organizer Bootcamp. He is enthusiastic about serving as your next bilingual Justice of the Peace for Fort Bend Precinct 1, Position 1.
